Are you easily distracted at work - struggling to keep tasks and projects organized? Do you wish you could accelerate your career growth, but you feel held back due to unclear expectations or your lack of boundaries? Are you tired of the vicious cycle of burnout and long to feel the peace that comes with doing fulfilling, impactful work? I am so excited you’re here! This podcast is your go-to for all things career growth! You’ll learn productivity systems to help you get organized, plan ahead, and accomplish your work efficiently. You’ll increase your ability to anticipate problems at work and inside your team before they occur and increase your confidence to lead through them. Goodbye burnout, hello confident, proactive leadership! Hey, I’m Kayla Fahey-Ahrndt, MPH, MLS(ASCP)SBB…but you can call me KFA! I’ve got 13+ years of professional healthcare leadership experience, and I have 9+ years of management experience. I’m a mama of 3 littles, wife and best friend to my hubby who is also in healthcare, and coffee and planner obsessed. When I first stepped into my first professional leadership role, I was promoted quickly! At the time, I was a new mama and had way less experience than those I was leading. I knew I needed to learn and grow in order to succeed in my role. I lacked work-life balance and had no boundaries. I experienced burnout quickly by trying to people please and do everything myself. I worked long hours and my relationships suffered as a result. I finally realized that I needed simple, effective strategies to help me get organized and manage my competing priorities. I created my own daily management tool which helped me get organized, manage stress, achieve work-life integration. I quickly became the go-to leader for innovative healthcare leadership, and I was promoted again! If you are ready to implement sustainable systems and strategies to help you get organized, ditch the burnout, and finally get the recognition you deserve, grab your coffee or bubbly and press play on my show while you rock your spreadsheets! It’s time to dive in!

What is gratitude?
I found a great white paper prepared by the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkley that talks all about gratitude and it’s benefits. Studies have shown that gratitude has roots embedded into our evolution, brains, and DNA, and development.
What are the benefits of gratitude?
Improves health and encourages people to adopt healthier habits.
Grateful people have happier and live more satisfied lives, are less materialistic, and less likely to burnout.
Keeping a “gratitude journal” or writing a letter of gratitude can increase your happiness and put you in a positive mood.
What do I do?
Every morning I write down a few things I’m grateful for—usually 3-5 things.
I’ve made space on your #MayMorningTakeBack PDF for you to start by writing at least 1 thing you’re grateful for each day.
Today's episode will dive deeper into gratitude, my personal practice, and how you can practice it too in a way works for your morning.

I'm doing a 5 day take back your morning challenge called #MayMorningTakeBack.
I'll be doing one podcast episode per day for five days starting Sunday, May 3rd.
I'll walk you through how I structure my morning and teach you exactly how you can construct your own to set you up for a successful day (work, rest, parenting, care-giving, etc.). Anyone else have a toddler who is throwing tantrums every 30 seconds? I feel you!
Here's what you gotta do:
1. Follow the #MayMorningTakeBack on Instgram and follow me @kaylafaheyahrndt. Share this with your friends too and do this with a buddy.
2. Get a paper and pen--somewhere to record and track your habits that I'll teach you. (Can be a planner, digital planner, Notes app on your phone, etc.)
3. Subscribe to this podcast so you don't miss an episode. One episode will drop per day starting Sunday, May 3rd.

Hey Glow Getters!
I’ve been thinking a lot about social media, and how I want to show up on it for myself and for others.
People often tell me they had to take a social media detox—and I’m like, sista, been there, done that. AND at the same time, I think we could all improve how we use social media as a consumer of information and as a content creater.
I try really hard not to post just to post. I take a lot of time thinking about my captions and telling stories. I also really care about my images and I thoughtfully pick ones I think will pair well with the context of the caption.
Many of you know I also do health a fitness coaching, and the theory goes the same in my Virtual Studio where I host all of my monthly groups and challenges. While I love a good “water check” post…did one yesterday actually, I want to have a deeper connection with my community.
That’s why for April I’m doing daily reflections and encouraging people to share more about what’s going on in their world so we can support each other and extend a virtual helping hand.
The more I thought about this, I realized I want to do improve the way I share health related topics with my entire social media community, not just those in my private Virtual Studio. Each month in the past, I typically run a FREE Week. It’s usually hosted on Facebook for a week where I have a free workout every day, share meal plans, recipes, and last month I talked about mindset tips. It was awesome, but it was over in a week…
Like how is that cool that all those people who may have wanted to learn more from me, connect on a deeper basis don’t really have anywhere to do that besides in my DM’s?
So here’s what I’m going to try instead, and I think the times are fitting!
I created a separate Instagram account called @GlowGettersAtHome.
I’m going to be showing up sharing all things health related. Things that we can do to be healthy at home from recipes to organization tips to fitness, to self care, to mental health, to learning skills from your laptop or books, to healthy cleaning solutions, safe baby products, or clean makeup. Pretty much anything you can think of.
It’s a public group, so you type in your IG search bar for @GlowGettersAtHome and go ahead and follow me!
Excited to bring joy to my community on social media to create space you don’t need to social media detox from.

Ever feel like you're doing the same things over and over again, and you're not getting the results you want? You're persistent and consistent as all get out, but you don't seem to be getting anywhere?
I've been there. I'd feel this visceral or gut feeling where I knew I had to do something different to get different results. I began to experiment and try new things. That's where the difference between being a persistent person or a tenacious person comes in...
In this episode I share 4 steps for practicing tenacity and I give you reflection questions to work through problems. You can use these for home life, parent, life, work life. Basically anything! All the details are in my Persistence vs. Tenacious Worksheet.
Ge the Persistence vs. Tenacious Worksheet here!
